Perform with The Kingsmen National Squad!

This is your lucky day!!!

It's your chance to be a "Kingsmen for a day" without months of rehearsal!!!

The Kingsmen Senior Corps is looking for National Squad members on a "per show" basis. We need a minimum of 4 bodies per show and we have between 1 and 3 depending on which show. I am coordinating the filling of the vacancies.

Cost

$25 payable to the Kingsmen StarCorps
This is the fee that all performers must pay to the Corporation on an annual basis. This fee is paid once and you are then able to march any KAC activity throughout the year.

$30 per show payable to the Kingsmen StarCorps Alumni
Fee to help with Show expenses

Details

--> Must attend rehearsal on show day (schedule will vary depending on day & show). Estimate 1-2 hours
--> Must own a complete cadet uniform
--> Open to men and women
--> Will need to complete Medical/liability forms

Show Opportunities
June 14 - Western High School (Family Day)
June 20 - Walnut Show, Mt. Sac
June 21 - Riverside Show, RCC
July 11 - Long Beach Show, Cabrillo HS
July 12 - Drums Along the Pacific, East LA College

****FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*****

The Kingsmen StarCorps, Inc. is currently in search of an Executive Director. This exciting opportunity is available now and would begin transitioning in immediately.

Our current ED is stepping down after many years of tireless effort on behalf of the entire organization as well as each individual performing unit. Jim Whobrey will be completing his duties at the end of the Senior Corps' performance schedule in July and would be a wealth of information for anyone interested in pursuing this position. Jim held additional responsibilities in his role as ED that would not necessarily be required of the incoming candidate, as many of these were as point of contact established during the KAC endeavor and were naturally continued in the ensuing tenure.

With the understanding that this is a volunteer position, it does encompass several crucial aspects, with the primary being the liaison between the individual units' Corps Directors and the Board of Directors. Input to the board on an ongoing basis is paramount to the continuing success of the performing units.

This important role allows the board to focus on the financial aspects of the corporation and the overall public image while allowing the individual units to run their respective Corps operationally and musically. The Corps Directors are always welcome to contact and work with the Board directly, but the ED gives them a day to day relationship in the plethora of details that inevitably develop in the course of running a Drum Corps.

The board would welcome any and all applications (via email or snail mail) by interested parties.

The Junior Corps Drum Line is going strong under the interim direction of Marty Sacksteder and the plans for the forthcoming year are in process at this time. This is your chance to be a part of the future of the Kingsmen organization.

Please direct your inquiries to Wally Buice or President. You are also welcome to contact any board member at any time to discuss this matter or any other.

Thank you for your thoughtful and timely consideration. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
